Can I bring my dog along with me?

Dogs are welcome on site provided that they are kept on a lead at all times and that their owners clean up after them. Dogs are not permitted in the gift shop, restaurants, deli or family farm. We provide a Dog Café and outdoor covered seating in the ‘Courtyard’ and limited outdoor covered seating outside the ‘Walled Garden’ restaurant. Guide and assistance dogs are permitted in all areas. We do not condone dogs being left in cars whilst parked on site.

Is the site wheelchair/disabled friendly?

We have a limited number of disabled parking spots in our car park. All areas around site are either level or accessed via ramps. We admit carers free of charge on a 1:1 basis. For your convenience we have a limited number of wheelchairs available to hire. To hire a wheelchair simply leave a form of identification (driving license, bank card etc) with a member of our staff which can be collected upon the wheelchairs return. Please ask in store or phone us on 01226 744842 (ext. 1) to reserve a wheelchair.

What charitable causes does Wentworth support?

We receive many requests for assistance, virtually on a daily basis and have had to adopt strict criteria to distribute any available budget in a given year. The current criteria enables the garden centre to assist Wentworth based projects and Cancer research and relief at our discretion.

What steps are Wentworth taking to become more environmentally responsible?

As a company, we are committed to further reducing the impact of our business on the environment.

We currently recycle 100% of cardboard packaging and glass bottles on site and aim to transition to totally biodegradable takeaway packaging and cutlery in the near future. Within our horticultural department we are working hard to reduce plastic consumption and increase recycling and composting. We aim to switch all our carrier bags and packaging from plastic to paper within the next 12 months.

Can I take photographs around the site?

Photography for personal use is permitted in all areas on site. Resident photographer Mike Leng holds the exclusive rights to any photography in the historic gardens on a commercial basis. As a result we are unable to allow shoots from other photographers. For more information please visit
