Seasonal Nursery/Greenhouse Assistants

We are seeking seasonal staff to assist in our Nursery/Greenhouse operation principally in Spring (April/May). Roles will include a range of horticultural based jobs, primarily including potting up, trimming and spacing plants in a greenhouse environment.

Requirements:

Applicants must be friendly honest and reliable, with the ability to work both alone and as part of a larger team. A keen interest in horticulture is essential, though prior experience in a professional nursery is not needed. Working at speed is essential as time and output is of the essence, together with the ability to meet production targets.

The role normally requires approximately 6/7 weeks with a possibility of occasional additional hours around peak times (Christmas etc.) In turn we can be flexible and to a degree work around successful applicants personal situations.

Chef de Partie

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our catering team for a full-time Chef de Partie. This position will be working across our catering division which now makes up the largest portion of our staff, consisting of a 290-seat coffee shop & restaurant, deli, kiosks and the recently opened table service restaurant, The Bothy.

Requirements:

Applicants should have experience working as part of a large catering team within a similar high-volume, fast-paced setting. All applicants should be friendly, honest and flexible, with high standards of food presentation and a good knowledge of traditional cooking. Patisserie skills would be a distinct advantage. Weekend work on a rota basis will be required, no split shifts or regular evening shifts.
