  • Play

Make sure to visit our interactive sand and water play area where children can dig to their hearts’ content whilst pumping and diverting water around a natural system of channels and spillways. Climb aboard our full sized pirate galleon, take a spin around our ‘Tractor Derby’ racetrack and let your little ones run off some steam in our undercover adventure playground!

  • Education

Our friendly and enthusiastic team welcome school and group visits where little ones will gain ‘hand’s on’ experience with a variety of small reptiles, insects and mammals whilst learning about husbandry, habitat and conservation in informal and entertaining sessions.

  • Animals

Our varied collection includes llamas, alpacas, pigs, ponies, sheep, goats, foxes, peacocks plus various aviary birds, reptiles and small mammals…the list goes on and on!
Look out for an even greater and constantly changing range of domestic and farm animals, British wildlife and more exotics as the farm develops.

Did You Know...

Historical records confirm that there has been a ‘menagerie’ at Wentworth since 1738.

Surviving lists show that by the middle of the 19th century animals and birds kept there represented all the continents with the exception of Antarctica. Notable mammals listed included antelope, a tapir, buffalo, kangaroo, ring-tailed lemurs and astonishingly an American bear. The list of birds was equally impressive including an eagle owl, peregrine falcon, grey parrots, vultures and even an emu!
